1 Week Workstation and Server Bootcamp
 
Upon completion you will be required to pass a test to receive your TaCE Basic Workstation and Server certification
 

This course is intended for Technalign Partners, Silver Partners, and Businesses. Silver Partners receive a 15% discount on all courses offered by Technalign, Inc.

The course offered in Laramie, Wyoming will be provided at a discount of $1,200.00 for the week long course and include the certification test as well at the University of Wyoming.

The course is a 1 week hands-on training bootcamp with full labs and documentation. The course will take you through a new PC and installation of Pioneer Basic on a Dual Boot system as well as Pioneer Basic on a blank system. The second half of the course will be MigrationSERVER with a follow-up of Stage Coach. An overview of the Technalign Trailblazer Framework will also be covered during these courses.

Workstation

Pioneer is the Linux operating system of choice for many server and application environments in companies worldwide as well as an excellent desktop choice for consumers. This comprehensive hands-on course provides users the knowledge and skills needed to effectively use Pioneer Workstations. In this course you will learn how to use the user commands and get an overview of shell scripts.

  • Using the Pioneer Desktop
  • Manage files and directories: create, copy, rename, remove, edit, and perform other operations.
  • Create and modify files.
  • Using the package handler.
  • Using Wine and CrossOver Office
  • Using multiple desktops.
  • Using the command line interface to administer the system
  • Use many Linux utilities for text file manipulation, personal workspace management, file system management, and communication with other users.
  • Take advantage of Linux security mechanisms to protect files and programs from unauthorized access and to configure shared access among work groups.
  • Understanding processes, jobs and runlevels in the Linux system
  • Increase your productivity by generating file names using "wild card" pattern matching.
  • Look up commands and other information in the on-line Linux reference manuals.
  • Manage multiple concurrent processes to achieve higher utilization of Linux.
  • Managing the network configuration

Pioneer Workstation - Consumer version Business

This 4 hour overview will allow you to understand the differences between the Pioneer Consumer and Business desktop operating systems. The workstations are similar in many ways, but also different. Upon completion of this 4 hour course, you will understand the differences and configurations of both technologies. Configuration of the consumer version is different than the business and the business desktop will require different configurations. This mini-course will describe the differences and also include hands-on.

MigrationSERVER

Deploying Pioneer MigrationSERVER in SOHO, SMB, and Enterprises. The course demonstrates the features in Pioneer and provides basic skills for installing and managing Pioneer MigrationSERVER. The course provided attendees the essential skills necessary to create secure user access to file systems and applications through local user accounts. You will learn how to install, configure, and manage Pioneer MigrationSERVER.
